Day 1:Marrakech Tizi N Tichka – Ouarzazate –Zagora– Mhamid el ghizlaine

Accommodation: tent. Meals included: morning, noon, evening. Transfer: 5:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.
3 hours of walking.
After waking up and having breakfast at the hotel, we start our day with thrills and a breathtaking raw landscape, crossing the Col Tizi N Tichka by car: it is a long road of about 200 km, a succession small bends whose highest point is the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, at 2,260 m.

-Departure by the tizi n’Tichka; the road climbs to the pass, at 2,260 meters, passing from a forest landscape to a mineral landscape, punctuated by dry stone villages with flat roofs and terraced crops, before switching into the Draa Valley

DRAA VALLEY GREEN RIBBON!!!

The road borders the sumptuous Draa Valley dominated by fortified villages bordered by palm groves which shelter cultivated gardens in their shade. Many casbahs of ocher or red earth soar skywards with their crenellated towers. Arrival in agdz.. Crossing its palm grove, discovery of the ancestral irrigation system which supplies water to the cultures of henna, barley, wheat, alfalfa, and of course the date palms. First step towards the dunes of mhamid el ghizlaine, then erg lihoudi where the camp is set up.

Day 2: erg lihoudi-erg zharr

5 to 6 hour walk.
Accommodation: tent. Meals included: morning, noon, evening.

Crossing the beautiful golden dunes of Erg Lihoudi, then a mineral plateau gives access, in the middle of the desert, to a well, Magnificent landscape. Still on the left bank of the dry wadi of the Drâa, we take the high dunes of Erg Zaher as a landmark. We will sleep at the foot of the highest dune, “the lucky dune”.

Day 3: LAST GREAT DUNES BEFORE THE PALMERAIE OF OULED DRISS

3 to 4 hours of walking.
Accommodation: hotel. Meals included: morning, midday, evening. Transfer: 5:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Always between ergs, these vast fields of dunes constantly shaped by the winds, and regs, these stone deserts, always between sands and oases… Crossing an old adobe village. Arrival in Ouled Driss,

• OULED DRISS AND THE DRÂA VALLEY BEFORE OPENING THE GATES OF OUARZAZATE

Ascent of the very beautiful Draa Valley. Return to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, a verdant oasis in the middle of an arid plateau. Late afternoon and evening free to stroll around this charming little town and discover its medina, its lively streets, its traditional houses.

Day 4: Marrakech 

Meals included: morning, Transfer: 6 h.
Kasbah ait ben hadou – Marrakech
Breakfast at the cottage, then drive to Marrakech, passing through and the Tichka pass, picnic lunch en route. Arrival in Marrakesh
